Forbis Electric was founded in 2004 when owner Les Forbis obtained his contracting license from the California contractors state licensing board. Les has over 25 years of Electrical experience, starting his career in Idaho working for Resort electric, his families electrical business owned by his grand father and operated by his Father, Cousins, and other family members. After working in Idaho on various residential projects, Les moved to mammoth Lakes to enjoy the Eastern Sierra lifestyle. Working at the Mammoth Mountain Ski area as a ski lift electrical technician, Les gained the knowledge to catapult his career to the next level. Living in Mammoth allowed for the opportunity to work on a large variety of electrical projects, including large custom homes, smart homes, restaurants, retail stores, schools, water pumping systems, audio/ video/ networking systems, small manufacturing facilities, and standby generator systems. In 2016 Les obtained the Control4 dealership and programming license, installing over 45 control systems in the area since that time. Forbis Electric has been in business now for almost 20 years. We strive to keep up with the ever changing code cycles, practice code compliant installations, maintain productive working relationships with the local building departments, and obtain the skills to master the modern electronics integration requirements. We believe that we can offer the community electrical system installations that meet current codes, provide quality, cleanliness, and longevity.
